UNIJOS Fire Incident Affected 2016 Admission Process - VC
The Vice Chancellor of the University of Jos has disclosed that the fire
incident that took place on October 8th, 2016 on the campus has
affected the ongoing admission exercise in some departments as well as
the institution's November accreditation exercise.
According to him, fire incident had burnt down the library at the permanent site Naraguta campus as well as six departments of the faculties of social science and management science.
He mentioned that the institution has since launched a programme tagged "Operation Beauty from Ashes" to encourage people to donate books and other library resources to replace those lost in the incident.
On his part, the Gbong Gwom Jos, Jacob Gyang Buba, urged the government, TETFund, philanthropists and other public spirited individuals and organizations to come to the aid of the university.
