Balotelli blasts PSG, reveals their problem
Nice striker, Mario Balotelli has attacked Ligue 1 gaints, Paris Saint-Germain for not qualifying for the last eight of the UEFA Champions League.
PSG was dumped out from the Champions League by Real Madrid on 5-2 aggregate.
Balotelli, who was not happy with PSG’s exit from Europe topflight competition, said the Parisians are on the same level as fellow Ligue 1 club, Guingam.
The 27-year-old noted that the problem with PSG is that they use money to buy players, not a team.
“PSG are a Ligue 1 team, they are on the same level as Guingamp,” Ballotelli told Telefoot.
“I only watched them once this season and it was against Real Madrid. They really did deserve to lose. It’s shameful to see them go out of the Champions League that early.
“The problem is that money buys you players, but it doesn’t buy you a team.”
Meanwhile, Balotelli was again left out of the Italy squad for upcoming friendlies against Argentina and England, despite scoring 22 goals in 30 competitive games for Nice this season.
The former Manchester City star’s last cap for the Azzurri was in the 2014 World Cup.
